As some of you know, in the area I live in we just got nailed by a category 4 hurricane (155+mph winds) and it did extensive damage. One of the sad side effects is the S/V Governor Stone, a historic schooner was capsized. I will try to withhold my judgement for why it was docked and not moored in the bay because this could have been avoided with proper storm preparation.

It seems they decided to tie it to the dock instead of putting out storm anchors and mooring in the bay. The storm surge and high winds flipped it over at the dock. According to their facebook page, they are starting to recover the parts of the vessel and will be rebuilding it this year once they can get it to a yard.
