Read Me for Installing K3 mod 9.1

Here I thought I will open a thread for helping you through the install of the K3 mod 9.1.

If someone allready plays with it - please give advise for install...
 
K3_Mod_v9.1

you se The complete list of changes if you look in the file of readMe_Mod_v9.1.txt in the folder with the game.

you can se the Changes of each author if you look in the appropriate files of read Me (author's).

INSTALLATION:

The Modds will work with any version of game.

Before the installation make a backup
copy of the game files.

It is necessary to begin a new game.

Authors: Predator, LeX, MyLorD, Kogotoro, smuggler, Jack38, Blood Of john, Panda, Reticon, Aidan, Jack Of black, Gian (Officerpuppy), Jopie Of seethoek, Capt.Blood

Browse to your folder with the installed game.

(example C:\Program Files\ 1C \ corsairs 3)

To a question about the replacement of files
[overwrite] “Yes to Of all”.

"cuote" if renaming the .exe to .Rar
you can extract it in your game dir
hit the right mouse button and drag the file
into the map, and chose extract here..

hope it helps.

i have installed systran and intend to translate
the hole mod with it it could take 2 - 3 days..
 
lol just found some softporn in the mod ^^



damn i tried to change the russian menu but it dont work yet

if we got some time we should replace the bablefish translations <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
 
now it works....

1. i put cpt blackfeets translation files into the russian folders

program\dialogs\russian

RESOURCE\INI\texts\russian

then i copied all files and folders from program\dialogs\russian to program\dialogs\english
and RESOURCE\INI\texts\russian to RESOURCE\INI\texts\english

then change \RESOURCE\INI\texts\language.ini

defaultLanguage = English
;defaultLanguage = russian
;defaultLanguage = french
;defaultLanguage = german
;defaultLanguage = spanish
;defaultLanguage = italian


go to \program\dialogs

and rename folder from russian to english (or create folder english and copy russian files in it)

go to \program\characters\ and create folder named english (copy files from russian folder in it) file not translated yet...

so far just the names are russian i think...

i go to bed now. after 21345 edits it works <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

"Officerpuppy" Wow....I help make this mod? I didn't even know, thats pretty cool. Wonder what's in there.

To Install:

Please back up your files just incase you decide to switch back.

Place all the music files into your Resource/sounds/music folder.

Feel free to use this mod in any other mod but please give me credit for the work.

History:

V.2:

Added new church song which is not from Master and Commander.

I wanted to add this song in my orginal pack but thought it would take away from the M&C theme. Instalation is optional. Name of file is "Church_Theme" it's from the Amadeus soundtrack.

Removed "Ship_Victory01" and "Fog" found in V.1.

I never liked how it sounded right after a ship victory, it sounded ackward to me, I tried to find a new place for it but couldint so therefore it is not included in V.2. For the "Fog" file, although it sounds great, unfortunately I could not decided where to place this file as well. Since fog is random in the game, there is no specfic song that is triggerd when fog appears, therefore it is not included in V.2.

Rewriting of "music_alias" file is no longer necessary.

In V.1 I added a line to this file, but with the current build (12), this is no longer necessary.

Increase in the voulume of all the tracks.

Ive been wanting to increase the volume of the tracks after the first release when I noticed that they were too low in game.

I'm glad the mod is still around after all this time.
 
i tried the methods shown,and the game works.

but the whores dialogue is missing or not found.

and as said,all the names are in russian still

update...

your profits drop to almost nothing
crew pay far exceeds earnings
attacked far too frequently.
ships are too slow

uninstalled and going to try the ahoy 12.1 mod.

also...my mrs saw the porno flic from the brothel,slapped me round the ear ..lol
 
I put all the files from the mod into my game's directory and tried to launch it but in the launcher it just came up with an error saying there was no disk and the disk is in the drive. I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong...

Edit: Oops, sorry I just noticed the thread about removing that starforce thing. I'm guessing thats what I need to do? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

Edit: Okay so I tried to download the file but all the mirror links just redirected me to <a href="http://www.gameburnworld.com/.." target="_blank">http://www.gameburnworld.com/..</a>. Could someone upload the file somewhere or something? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
 
They dont like direct linking evidentally so just go to their hompage and navigate to the age of pirates section and then you should be able to download the file(s) from the mirror's.

I click on that and i get no download.

I downloaded that one and tried it but I had a runtime error, it said: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way."

Edit: Ah okay nevermind, I got it working now, thanks a lot for all the help!
