You're thinking of wolverines. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> I know what it is. They're not really eating the weapons, they're stashing them away in preparation for The Great Rat Revolution, when they will overthrow humanity and rule the world.

Conning a con man is bad for your reputation?

Yep. Playing as Blood you get a quest early on to retreive some money from a debtor, who instead of paying back the loan intends to buy a ship with the money. Which is an odd rationale in and of itself, that's why you borrow money, to buy stuff you can't afford with your own. But anyway, you can make him give you what he owes (30k, IIRC) and return it to the moneylender for a modest reward, or you can trick him into giving you all his money, almost twice that (55k), and then you keep the extra. But doing so gives you a rather nasty rep hit. Or you can keep all of it, which presumably lowers your rep even further since now you're conning the moneylender as well, although I haven't tried that.

Nah, that rationale does not hold up, I was receiving the rep hit before I even began the Morgan quest at all.
Also, you can talk to the captives and release them, for all the good it does you (ie zilch).
