I was told that the big statue area... i was supposed to talk to my party members... but i can't.. this is shitty.. and i can't get back.. nor off the island.... what am i supposed to do now..? plz e-mail me directly.. i dont check this forum everyday..

You got the build installed? Sounds like a pre-build bug to me. He means the giant bird-like statue on KR where the artifact is. Danielle should engage you in conversation as you walk towards the artifact.

exactly! well i got the build mod but it takes so long time installing didnt bother to do it.. well i'll try and see what happens

hmm.. you having the same problem? when i install the build mod.. then i start the game.. and load game.. then its totally bugged.. cant get any menus or go forward.. ok..!! then i press new game.. *sigh*.. and then it crashes.. wtf do i do? i downlad the online installer of the build mod.. but then at the end of the install.. it at buildmod12update.exe.. it doesn't get any further... wtf do i do???
 
When ye get the update screen it shows 100% rightaway,wait till update finishes,close the screen,ye should get a message,update was successfull,When ye start yer game,go into options,controls,press restore deafault button,then reset yer keyboard controls ter yer preferance,The game does momentarily freeze at the begginig ,this is normal,its just reinitializing <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

i tryed them both.. and used runme on them both... i don't really know what more i can do.. start all over again..?
 
Use the full installer, matey! The online one has had many bugs like these.

Wait a minute, you already did that. Try re-installing PotC <i>without</i> keeping your saves, and then install the build and post build stuff, <i>then</i> start a new game.
 
Here's how the install should go:
1. Uninstall POTC
2. Delete folder that POTC was in
3. Install POTC fresh--<b>make note</b> of what directory you install it to
4. Download Build 12 Full
5. Run it, point it to the directory you noted in 3
6. Open the folder you noted in 3, double-click file Runme.bat. <b>If that file is not there</b>, tell us; that means the build did not install to the correct folder.
 
I hope this isn't too late, but I have a question, Scallywag, when you're in the temple before the statue, do you have the "always run" on? If you do, try walking thru the area instead of running. Sometimes I've seen it where you can run thru the encounter markers without setting them off, but it's less likely to occur when you're walking.
