Problem with landin on Isla DeMuerte

O.K. - Let's take it step by step:
You can see the island and your ship?
You press the key for sail-to?
You get to the deserted shore bay?
You press the key to dock - nothing!
Is that correct?

OK. I sail my ship up to it on the map screen.
I hit spacebar.

I'm now sailing. I hit Tab since I prefer to be outside my ship.

I hit enter to bring up the menu, select 'sail to.'

I select deserted shore.

I hit enter to bring up the menu again.

There is no landing icon.

So I sail away.
 
Also, there is no anchor shaped icon at the top of the screen, as there is anywhere else that is landable. (Same is true at Tortuga when it's shooting at me.)

I stuck the following on the bug tracker.

It's the dreaded "Can't land on Isle De Etc after stealing the interceptor" bug.


I'm got it. OTher have it. I have a couple of theories on it.

1. I can't land at tortuga when the fort is shooting at me. Could this be similar? Some sort of "the island doesn't like you so you can't land" bug?
2. I got extra crew for the interceptor. could this have an effect?
3. Will Turner is NOT one of my officers. He's an officer until we land on Tortuga, (If I'm lucky) or until we land on Turks if Tortuga is hostile and wants to shoot the shit out of me as usual. After that, he's THERE, he hangs around, but he has no portriat nor is he on the 'passengers/officers' screen.
4. I have a land troops icon some of the time. Maybe it's replacing the rihgt one?
 
Theoretically you should be able to land on Isla de Muerte as soon as you get the Aztec Compass item. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
 
O.K. - the "no anchor icon"
I have seen that too!

THAT seems to be the common problem - You can sail to Isla De Muerte - Locate the island in sea mode - sail to the correct landing beach
all with no problem:
Then the go to shore (landing) icon (anchor) doesn't appear.
A locator issue?
So WHAT calls the "go to shore" icon?
Hook - Pieter - Pirate_KK - ASVS anyone - suggestions please.


(It isn't the compass, or lack of it - the island wouldn't be visible in the first place)
 
I just went to check and I could land just fine on all three shores on Isla de Muerte.
Did get a lot of DirectSail and Towntable errors though (see attached). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
 
cosmin.popa is reporting this problem again with Alpha 9.5 on the <a href="http://www.moddb.com/mods/new-horizons/downloads/build-14-alpha-95/#647593" target="_blank">ModDB</a>.

i have alpha 9.5 and i cant land on isla de muerta, is there any way to fix it on alpha 9.5
 
i have this same problem too... i cannot land to isla de muerte after boarding interceptor...
 
I have just encountered the problem of landing on Isla De Muerte with HMS Interceptor after sailing from Tortuga, using Build 14 Alpha 9 patch 5. The attached error files were generated:

I did not have the problem on the 2 earlier occasions in the game when you go to Isla De Muerta (with Phillipe & Maximus - and with Barbossa in the Black Pearl) both of which worked ok.

Thanks for putting up the logs!

I had a look at the error log and from it tried to sail into Isla De Muerte with Direct Sail disabled and when I got there my screen turned black.
Really random though because I could still hit tab and go to 3d view but not deck.
However this might tell us that it is indeed a Direct Sail issue which puts us closer to fixing it
