Pre Build 13 Modpack

That'd be great. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

Here is a head model and ani for the "native" character. I cloned the head of rabblack, he has the appropriate savage look <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
Unzip this file into your PotC folder:

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> to All,

First of all, thanks a lot for yours works. Thanks to you I can't stop to play this game even if are several months that I play only with this.

I've just download all the last PostBuild files and update till and install them over a new POTC installation, just to see if some of my problem was for some missed file or something else.

After leave oxbay at the start of of the game, and without fight with no nations, I've seen a thing never seen before: Relation stats show in the logs during navigation are differents compare to the relation stats show in the interface.

Logs shows; france - hostile, spanish - hostile, duch - hostile, pirate - hostile, portugal - neutral and england - Neutral.

Relation Interface shows; france - hostile, spanish - neutral, duch - neutral, pirate - hostile, portugal - neutral and england - Neutral.

Is it normal? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> bye, bye,
giuliootto

That is certainly not normal. There were some things changed in the nation relations lately, but I thought that was working the way it should. I do know the relations in the relation interface are the correct ones. I will check this bug out. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

And thanks to CCC for the native head! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I have now discovered what the difference in relations between the interface and the logs is about: A new mod is that you can raise whatever flag you want and other ships have a chance of recognizing you. So if you, for example, raise English colours, other ships you encounter will think you are an English ship, so you'll be at war with almost all nations. But if you raise Portugese colours, you'll be at peace with almost everybody. So the logs show the relations you have because of your flag and the relation interface shows the relations you truly have with the other nations. I hope this explains it a bit.

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> Pieter,

Wow, that It's a great stuff, very next to real naval tactics in XIX and previous century. It would be perfect if you will attack a navy without your own flag (the one select in your relation interface) you loose repotation points, what do you think about (maybe it's already as it)?

Of course, thanks to CCC for the native head <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
And particularly to you for the great amount of works made for us, THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> bye, bye,

I don't think that's in it yet. It's a great mod indeed, but I think it could use some additional improvement. I posted a new thread about this mod, so please post your suggestions there as well. If this mod is improved, it will make the game very much better indeed. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I made a new modpack update today with a few small bugfixes. It's not much, but it'll at least fix the annoying Douwesen governor not speaking bug. Maybe I'll make a slightly larger update later today, but at least this will be ready. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I managed to get the new captain's cabins to work with the help of Screwface, so that will be in next time. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I was thinking: Isn't it weird that the smallest boats (tartanes) have at least three interior decks? Could the buttons to enter the deck locations be turned off for tartanes?

Also: Would it be possible to replace the tutorial cabin with the small cabin that luggers now have? I recall that that was not possible, because some locators were missing, but now that locators can be added again, that might not be a problem?

@ Peter
With this one i get the message "abnormal program termination" and nothing ist going on,
and after installing New Island Code it's the same.

Uh? That's weird. I just tested it and it works for me. Are you sure you installed it correctly? The full modpack first and the update last? If you use the new islands mod, you should install the new islands code file last.

Could you please turn on <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net/index.php?showtopic=5424" target="_blank">error logging</a> and show the error.log file that should be generated in your main PotC folder? If you installed correctly, the only thing I can think of that causes the problem is because I didn't yet add in all the bugfixes, so there is some buggy code left. That shouldn't crash the game though. But I will start on making a new update Saturday including all the most recent bugfixes and new stuff. Maybe that version will work then again? Otherwise you might have to stick to the previous version until we figured out what's wrong.

I might not be able to reply very quickly. I am very busy with examinations this week. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Much success with your exams <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> Privateering diploma?

Thanks. I'm learning to become a sailor. I'm having, among others, examinations for navigation, maths and meteorology. And I'm just in the first year! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
Ah... Well... It'll be over after Friday. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

@Peter

No panic, my best wishes for your examination. I play now with update from Oct. 05 without new island, it's running fine (well, some little bugs, but that's no problem).

If there is a further update i will try it again.

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

October 5? The most recent version is January 5th. It's available from my website. If you really are running October 5, I'm afraid you'll need to download the entire modpack before installing the update. It won't work otherwise. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

The bugs in the nations relations seem to cause quite a lot of crashes in people's games, so I decided to attach pirate_kk's fix for it to this forum post instead of having you wait until Saturday. Just extract it on top of a complete up-to-date installation into the main PotC folder. I hope this fixes those crashes. I think it should because I didn't see those error reports anymore after I added that patch to my installation. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Hey, you should be studying your math books, not making patches <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

But thanks a lot <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

I didn't make it. Pirate_kk made it a few days ago. I thought, since I had it on my computer anyway, I might as well make it available to public. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Thanks a lot to KK as well <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
