Open your POTC folder.
Open the PROGRAM subfolder.

Look at all the little files that end in .c and .h.
One should be named BuildSettings.h

Open that in notepad, and edit the lines appropriate to what you wish, per the directions in the file.

But when i went to play the game and i started a new char. nothing worked. wat do i do??
 
What do you mean by "Nothing worked"?
In ascending order of workyness:
Did the game start up?
When you clicked "Start New Game" did you load to the cabin?
Did your controls work?
Did the changes appear applied?
Did the reinitialization occur?
Did Malcolm come talk to you?

If you first make the changes in BuildSettings.h and then start a new game, they should work fine... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
If you just make changes in names, money, ship and sklils, everything got to work fine.

spacewezzal: So what you're saying is that the game works correctly, just none of your changes have been applied within the game?
