potc FRESH INSTALL

Hi.

just re installed POTC and the 9.1 mod pack.

in the cabin and the dialog wont start with malcolm.




i remember this problem from when i played it last,but cant remember the fix.
anyone know what the problem is ?




oh god...i just realised how old the game is.

This forum is not empty. However, you do have an old version of modded POTC. The newest version is 12.1, with a Pre Build 13 version of 296Mb. A build 13 BETA version (22.1) is also available for testing.

grabbed the files and installed.
working fine now....except all of a sudden i`m a african american in a pirate suit <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

ahhh what the hell...alls fair in love and slaughtering.

When I begin a new game I start with a red monk robe, when the talk progresses with malcom he says to remove your bath robe (red monk robe) and change into something else.
Thats were you get to choose who you wanna be.

"The usual" will give you the original character.

I just wanted to make sure i was clear on what files needed to be installed..

1.Fresh install----> out of the box

2.Build12_full-----> 78.2mb
3.Pre_b13_base--> 296mb
4.b13_beta1------> 22.1mb
5.b13_beta2------> 1.99mb
6.b13_beta3------> 23.8mb

Is this the correct order and does this bring me to the current mod version?

That looks fine although Pieter says that b13_beta3 covers beta 1&2 so you don't have to install those if you haven't already. If you already did, then it doesn't matter as Beta 3 overwrites them.

You can indeed skip steps 4 and 5. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
