POTC Build 14 Beta 2.1 - Fast Travel Bug?

Hey there! I am new to the site and the POTC in general. I am playing the Jack Sparrow quest line. I am currently partially through the Christopher Mings - Brotherhood Storyline. I am at the Cutler Becket part after he gives me the 10k gold (not sure if it has anything to do with it or not). Anyhow the game crashed on me and I reloaded it to my save point but now I seem to have lost my fast travel locations I was using before the crash. I tried using F11 - Re-initialize, it worked but still no fast travel locations. I have also tried returning to each one again ad still nothing. I wondering if there is a way to correct that or not?

Are you playing in arcade mode or realistic mode? I ask because I'm wondering if the game reset itself to realistic mode with no fast travel locations until you have been there once.
 
i think it was in realistic already i had to visit the locations first to add it to fast travel...i tried revisiting the location and still nothing.
 
i just noticed the fast travel locations for my ship (cabin, deck, ect.) don't even work in these save files either. All that shows up when i hit enter is Rush. It seems to only have effected the save files once I arrived in Jamaica. Seems odd to me. For now i just started back to before I set sail for Jamaica, all is well in that file so far. As for the settings everything was the default settings from the b14 installer. I will continue along from here and see what the log files say if it happens again.
 
Hmmm. I am not familiar with that story line. Is there a quest character with you? When you are on a side quest it is possible for all of your normal fast travel options to be disabled for the duration of that side quest.

For example, in the Sea Hawk quest there is a side quest where you team up with Bartolomeu O Portoguese to rescue his crew. For the duration of that side quest your normal fast travel locations are disabled. It is even hard to board your ship.

No I had no quest character at the time this happened. But the Cutler Becket character was with me prior to the crash. It did not happen until after we landed in jamaica and had to go see him to continue the quest line.

But I am not sure as to what caused it. But after using a previous save file prior to landing on jamaica, it seems to be working fine. Maybe it was a random glitch or something.
 
Random bugs happen. That is why we say to save often. Players coming from modern games are not used to manually saving, and they are the ones with the most problems. It is not unusual for me to use all of the saves in one day, then delete all but two to continue.

lol ya I save a lot..but for some odd reason only the saves once i landed in jamaica were rendered useless...its been fine since i went back to the previous save. not a big deal...minor things like that to be expected. But all in all I am quite impressed with the build compared to the original game.
