When i start the build everithing seems fine till it starts 2 download it ime getting an error that looks like this

Install

could not communicate 2 network server

404 not found

i hit retry and nothing Happens it just ses it agin. i do it when i am loged into the site , does that matter it seams the files are being transfered cause the paper is goind across the screen , but this thing wont go away ???????????????

this happens with mod 12 with mod 11 the f2 key does nothing and its blacked out so i cant adjust it in the button config menue help please why wont this key work ,
Please help..... I re bout the game cause ure excelent mods look so awsome....
 
I have the same problem and i have downloaded the full download 79MB twice now, i might be doing something wrong though once downloaded where do i go from there to make sure im doing it right.
 
Sorted that one but now when i play the game it starts for a second then crashes, it is a loaded game but my friend who plays it also managed to play a loaded game on it, any ideas?

Also it did work when i started a new game but not when i load my old one so if anyone can send me a save game after the main quest is finished that has been saved in build 12 i would appreciate it.

Yeah, you can't load saves from anything prior to build 10 (9?)--certainly not stock POTC.
I don't have any saves on hand--but if you are wanting to start a new game I suggest you also download and install the postbuild modpack (it will shortly be known as build 13), so you need only start new once.
I do recommend you start new, though--you can forgo the mainquest, there's no need to do it--so you can experience the new stuff for lower-level characters as well as later high-level chars.
 
The full installer is a WinZip self-extracting .exe file, which shouldn't need to connect to the internet at all once it's downloaded. Are you trying to run the update file inside? You don't need to update; the full installation contains all the latest updates. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />s
