Pirates Gold will be included in the LE!

Hey, i just found out that Pirates Gold will be included in the LE.... Well at least in germany but i strongly believe that the US one will have the Gold version too

I`m a little bit surprised that no one said anything about the fact that it`s now official that the Gold version is in the LE..... I remember people talking here and hoping that the Gold version will be on the LE....I expected some cheering or so. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Well, I am not going to cheer or so. I was expecting the Original Pirates, not the much worse Gold version, at least IMHO. Truth to be sadi, I pre - ordered the LE just for that. I don´t know what to do now.
 
I had hoped for the original too - playable under XP. And frankly, I am a bit ticked that we are not getting that kick butt `t-shirt` here in the states.

I would think that Atari would be getting the specifics on exactly what the stateside LE was including out to the public by now.
 
This is what ebgames states is in the limited edition. How accurate they are I don't know.

This Limited Edition `DVD-ROM` game includes:

Exclusive content - Special mods available only in this Limited Edition

Yeah, I asked for clarification on those items during beta but was not given much info. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what arrives.

I have checked it and the Sid Meier´s Pirates official site and EB games, under LE specifications state that it will be the Original Pirates¡ so it should be the original one, not the Gold version. In EB games they even say that it´s the original one from the 80s. Gold version came in the 90s so i will be really angry if it´s the gold version the one I get. I think am going to cancel my LE order. This is deceitful advertising¡.

Atari Germany says Gold will be included...so i doubt that only in Germany that will be the case...
 
Well, I'll be bummed if it's not the 1987 original. But it certainly won't be enough to make me cancel my order... especially since it's the same price.

But yeah, I want the original version, the cool map AND a `T-SHIRT`!!!

Jeff's been "MIA" for a while, Cap'n Toast, I think he's pretty busy and can't stop by to make any comments...

I sure hope that all the bellyaching we're doing about that `T-Shirt` makes a difference at Atari...

I'd not be sure what I'm gett'n,preorderd from EB an I asked 'em if it be de LE an der computer doesn't say,so does anyone know if dey be releas'n de CD version at de same time,I'd be gett'n me copy on Nov.17 <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
From what I understand, anything on retail shelves on the day of release should be the standard version. The LE should only be for preorders etc... now, a retailer could actually order some extra LEs but I don't think that's how it is supposed to work.
