Aye mateys.
I've been serving the nation Holland for a while now, i got myself up to Luitelant ter Zee, i'm happy how far i'm already however i would love to go up higher.
So i keep doing tasks, which till now all are pirate hunting tasks, but that is not the problem..
After i had given another task to me i went out on my boat, i found the pirate boat but he outran me..
Now the pirate is nowhere to be found, and i'm still stuck with this undoable task, is it undoable? I've taken out about 10 pirate ships more but nowhere i can find the right one..
Can i somehow cancel my quest? Or is there anyway i can find this particular ship?

it should still be at the island, if it didn't surrender. if it did, it dissapeared after the hour changed, and you can't do any more pirate missions from now on. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> sucks dunnit?
 
then you've got a problem. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> i'd go sinking enemies of holland. they're more abundant than pirates, and it's faster. they often give more points too because they have bigger ships. you'll be knighted and wed in no time.
 
Still, i would love to do some quests also <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />.

well, there's plenty more to do than just sinking pirates. just look for it! falaise de fluer has a lot of quest where you don't have to leave the island itself. try it there.

tip: talk to orable caron in the harbor at least 4 times. he's a great help, although annoying.
 
I think Morgan Terror is right. If the pirate really is nowhere to be found (did you try "Fast Travel"?), I see no way to complete the quest. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
Hunting pirates? Hunting me? YYYYYYYAAAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" /> NEVER! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />
 
it's good money. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> besides, it allows you to get a manowar without much trouble. yes, you can encounter a manowar in those missions, and yes, the reward is BIG.
 
Hmm. Does anyone think there should be a class limit on the generated pirate ships?
 
well, i've only seen it once, so i say no. besides, these missions are a great source of income when you live the expensive life later on, and it keeps giving you appropriate enemies. it's a bit of an arena at sea.
 
Else, try sailing to Crab Beach or Palm Beach. It´s happening quite often, you land in the middle of a battle between Dutch ships and pirates offshore the beaches..
