And I saw a video yesterday, saying:
-if you're building a budget pc->AMD
-if you're building a only gaming pc->AMD
-if you're building a gaming, video editing, and rendering pc->Intel

So that means I would have to get an Intel too.

Really? What I have been hearing:

AMD is the best on a budget as it gives the most bang for the buck.

When gaming it depends on the game. Old single thread games and online MMOs are best with intel. Modern multithread games see very little difference.

AMD is best at video editing and rendering until you get to the top dollar intels. This goes back to point one. Bang for the buck. A $1000 intel delivers 40% more performance at 500% greater cost.

The deciding factor for you should be how well will it hold up 5 years from now, not how they match up today. I am set for 1-2 more years and then I will need to upgrade to zen, but you can't wait that long.

I think I have decided:
CPU: Intel skylake i5 6600k/6700k
GPU: Gtx 970/980 (ti)
Moterboard: That Asus one
Ram: DDR4 Kingston 16GB
Power: I don't know

Thanks!

And do you have a suggestion for the power?
I'd like it to have a bit of spare power for overclocking and other parts, of course.

Ok!
So that'll be it then.
Now is the find the cheapest (and best) websites stage, I think.

EDIT: But what processor would be best: 6700K or 6600K?

Intel's I-7 6700k is currently the top of the line. It's also about twice the price of the I5 6600 at €323,99.

I doubt you will find much cheaper than Newegg, unless you happen to find a local retail brick and mortar store that has some parts cheaper to draw in customers. Your also not likely to find better service than Newegg either, but it certainly won't hert to look around.

So which one shall I pick?
Just pick something, man! Nobody is going to make every decision for you. :rofl

And don't forget that the service people who are checking out your computer right now said they'd give some suggestions of their own.

Which one should you pick? The racers have a saying: Speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?

If you want that GTX 970, you better stick with the Intel I5 6600. The only thing that you would really be getting for the extra money would be 4 more processor threads. That would help for a bit stuff like Blender, by shaving off a few seconds on render time, but it wouldn't be much help for gaming.

Thanks Thagarr!
We're going to the specialist in a little while and we're going to ask a lot of questions.

The RAM is broken, they could put two times two gigs in there, but I think I don't want to spend money on things I will replace soon.
The second hard disk is broken too, but there is still access to the files, thank goodness (My whole music collection and my blender files are on that thing). They said that they could replace it with a 500G HDD

We talked a bit about upgrading and showed them what I had in mind. They said I shouldn't get an Intel i5 6600k, but an Intel i7 6700k instead.

Thanks for the update mate! An Intel I7-6700k is certainly a better processor if you can afford it. Which do you want more, a more powerful processor, or a better graphics card? I checked the numbers again, and if you do both, you are over well over 1000. You could cut your ram and get a cheaper motherboard, but to stay under your budget I would really recommend going with the I5.

That sounds like a pretty good solution! :onya

Today we're going to get my computer back!
I thought about it, @Pieter Boelen showed me what files are big on his hard drive: mostly movies and series (which I don't really have), so I am getting the 500GB HDD!
That should be plenty for a loooong while ;)
