I asked my cousin which site he reccomends. He said 4launch.nl would be a good website.
They seem to have everything I need there too.

Yeah, that overseas shipping is ridicules! If it makes you feel any better, I have to pay that too when I buy anything from Europe. I am sure 4launch.nl would probably fine, I am really only familiar with US sites though. As for the memory, Kingston is just my personal preference. As long as it it os on the QVL, the G.Skill should be fine. :onya

And I have one question: What is the difference between the "Box" and the "Tray" version of CPUs? I thought it was that the box version had a cooler and other accessories and the tray only was the CPU, but the website said the package does not contain cooler??
That is correct, box version has the stock cooler included. check the product description carefully. You could probably reuse your current cooler, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a boxed version just in case you have issues and need to use the stock cooler.

I did, it says the package does not contain a cooler. Untitled.png

Could I? I thought my cooler only fitted this socket and not the 1151?

I had a look at both I-7 6700k processors listed on their site, for some reason, both the Box and Tray say they come without a cooler. My guess is this is just a typo on the Box page, I would suggest giving them a call and making sure before you order however. You do want the Box version.

As for your old socket 755 cooler fitting, it all depends on the mounting holes on the motherboard, and the mounting kit that is on your cooler. I would really have to see it in person to tell you if it is possible. 4launch.nl do not have a very extensive collection of coolers to choose from on their web page, and only one liquid cooler.

I'll do that!

Thagarr also said: 4launch.nl do not have a very extensive collection of coolers to choose from on their web page.
If I need to I could just go to the local Hardware Outlet, they'll probably have plenty coolers to choose from and probably could advise me too. :)

So that means there should be next to nothing in my way if buying the components! Ohh, I can't wait! :bounce

This is what a specialist said: "Dit type wordt inderdaad zonder koeler geleverd, dit is per serie verschillend. In dit geval betekend boxed dat het in de originele verpakking van Intel zit." Translated this means: "This type of processor is indeed delivered without a cooler, this is different for every series of processors. In this case boxed means that the processor is delivered in the original packaging."
I think this is a tad bit stupid, but oh well.

But that means I'll have to get a new cooler. I'm not using my current water cooler, because it is quite old and I do not want to risk showering my new parts. I think I'll just buy a 30 to 50 Euro blower style cooler. Any suggestions? I don't know what companies make good coolers and stuff.

I asked the people at 4launch which coolers they recommend and they recommended the 4Launch.nl - Scythe Processor Koeler Mugen 4 AMD & Intel for just normal use and the 4Launch.nl - Corsair Water Koeler Hydro H100i v2 AMD & Intel for overklocking. They also said the lifespan of the watercooler is about 3 to 4 years, and if it would start to leak, they said the watercooler does not contain water, but another liquid that does not damage electrical components, so I dont need to worry it breaking my parts. :D When it would happen my computer should just turn itself off.
But I'll probably won't but the watercooling, because I'm not really planning on overclocking, anyway. I do want the option to, though.

For the people who want to read the conversation, it is attached. (As the conversation was in Dutch, you may need to use a translator.)

I looked a few pages back and saw that you recommended the Arctic i32 CO cooler. I couldn't seem to find it at 4Launch but we found another website that sells it for 35 bucks.
I think I'll buy it this afternoon or tomorrow! :yes

Yeah, I noticed they didn't carry any Arctic Cooling coolers, but I am glad that you found one elsewhere! I have always had a great experience with those for air cooling!

I bought them!! :woot

That is awesome mate!! :onya

I am really looking forward to seeing it up and running!! :cheers

Awesome mate! Have fun building, just remember to take your time and don't rush anything. If your not sure about how something works, take the time to find out before you put it together. Helping you has got me convinced it is time to put a new one together myself!! :onya

I have started yesterday and now I only need to install my GPU and connect all of the cables. There are lots of little itty bitty cables, though.
