original english 1.41 'program' folder ??

does anyone know where to get the original 1.41 english "program" folder ?
because in the official 1.41 patch the english files are missing and in my original EU installation there is only a "program.dat" file which i wasn't able to open (yet)...
it seems playlogic doesn't really want their european customers to mod...
 
common some1 has to know where to get it...

i can't believe that only the russian version is officially modable ??

That's a SHAME !!!
 
I didn't check this yet, mate. I'll do that when I get home. But when I glanced it looked like all the stuff was there just like the Russian one. Don't hold me to that yet, I'll look when I get home.
 
I have the same problem, maybe adding rus version engine.exe, cuz extracting ''program'' in game folder does not work <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

plz help us :p
 
Odd ... I have it and they're just in the main folder with the dialog files and evrything...

so I don't realy understand your question , becouse all editable are in the just in the programfolder in your main catogery :S

what version do you have ?
where did you buy it ?

in the german version the "program" folder doesn't exist.
there is only a "program.dat" file which can't be opened.

installing the k3_mod, or the official 1.41 patch would create the program folder, but in those all other languages except russian are missing..

can someone with an original and complete 1.41 "program" folder zip it and put it on the ftp, so that everybody can start building mods without having to translate the russian files first ?
 
I have 1.41 just like all of you, I bought it in Belgium and the programfile is written in 4 languages: German French, English and Italian.

I've uploaded it on the FTP for you(aoppraram.zip)

Son of a ...

I just noticed the same thing in my installation. I looked too. In the AOP root folder, the folders are Modules, Save and Resource. Hmmmm ... Weird.
 
Hmmm ... the second question is how to put it back IN ... Dragging the folder that England put up isn't enough ... The engine.ini references the program directory but that isn't enough.

For instance, tried adding the bank back in and modifying the starting info for my Character and .... Nada. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Sucks donkey ...
 
I know this might sound weird ... but have you installed the game with my crack or wibout it ?Becouse I havn't played the with SF so I don't know weither it locks stuff.

Anyway I suggest the following this : Deinstall the game, get a sf removaltool, reinstall the game, but before you play it the first time, install the ENGIN.exe crack so you don't need to install SF and see what it does, becouse I believe I have exacly the same version as you guys have
 
Playing with SF. I'll try it without when I get back home today. I get to spend a WHOLE day down in San Diego babysitting my parents.

I think on this DVD edition it actually unpacks them from .BIN files into a temp directory. How else could it read the shizzle without using it?
 
I don´t have the right program folder either. Guess mine is an european version. Now I can´t even reach the ftp. Is there any problems or am I doing something wrong? Passwords???

I just checked and the FTP is working. Something is obviously wrong. Maybe you need to redownload it from Pieters Pirate Page, under Modding Tools. This FTP Commander is already predefined to PA. Hope this helps.
 
Jack, follow England's advice.

The Starforce protection keeps everything locked up on the DVD. I'm assuming that it unpacks it from the .BIN files temporarily?

The no Starforce crack comes with the Program directory to be ran locally. If your intention is to run a modded game, it will need to be done without Starforce mates.
 
Well thank you, now my ftp-connection is working again. So I downloaded "AOP stuff" and it contained the RESORCE folder!! Am I missing something more? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
