New Interface Released For Download

Small patch for Abordage Transfer Mod

What changed:

- If captain of captured ship was killed, you see a skull in place of Enemy face and "Dead looser" in place of Enemy name

- After assigning new captain to the captured ship, was possible to exchange crew and cargo between one ship (because one ship was on two places). Now, after assigning new captain, button for swapping ships (in "Ransack interface") is unselectable, buttons for crew transfer (in "Crew transfer") and buttons for goods transfer (in "Loot transfer") are invisible

- One small thing was added to the "Character interface" - picture for captive characters (as a pictures for Officers and Companions)

I have uploaded the old-type blue improved interface, including all patches and updates <a href="http://pieter.piratesahoy.net/interface_blue.zip" target="_blank">here</a>. I hope I didn't leave anything out. I'm currently uploading the brown interface as well. Hi, all. I don´t know, but I like the old blue one more than this new one. And it seems to me the new interface somehow slows all the game a little. If you're talking about the Fat Jack character skin that can be found on the PotCMods page: That one isn't from the A&M Mod for all I know. Petros made it.

To Rad: The new interfaces contain some extra features and use more image resources, so the game's performance might be a bit slower than usual. I don't think it should make a very big difference though. Do you have error logging turned on? I once found out that turning that on can have quite an impact on the game's performance. Because every time it logs an error, it slow the game. Pieter, the game seemed work normally but a little slower. Ahoy, Catalina. Thanks for your information. How are you ? Did you finish the correction of the Animists´ quest ? What is new here in the modding lately? I am still waiting if Nathan will discover anything from my save because I can´t proceed with finishing game because of this absence of Clement Aurentinus here. I ponder I will uninstall all the game and I will start to play anew with corrected modpack but I don´t know. I have too many unplayed games so far. I think that shouldn´t happen so as the game couldn´t be played to the end because of some bugs in modding. I am sad about that because I play this PoTC so long already and I still have hoped once the game will be great entertainment but all the time the new bugs appear here, as a new mods and modders appear here too. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

I too find it frustrating, but what can ya do, I am working (as time allows) to help bugtest the Modpack... The new features are great, but there are bugs that need to be tracked down. Though I don't control the build to be sure, I'll fight rather hard to not have any slavery in unless and until we have a robust anti-slavery component too, i.e. letting you choose to go around freeing slaves / fighting slavers.

Yes, since the code between blue and brown appears pretty similar, I think I can just write a quick little batch file to handle swapping.

Hi, Catalina and Nathan. Thank you both for your nice answers.

You know Catalina it isn´t so easy to play the game without modpack when you are almost in the end of it. I only wanted to play it to the end after a long time because my playing have finished almost every time somewhere in the middle of my adventurous way when a new Build was released.

Nathan, I send my files to you mainly for the reason, so as you could do some conclusions for further Builds what causes such a fatal bugs in the game. I am not sure if I would install the corrected modpack and its update whether this bug would appear again or not.

Friends, how do you plan this Build 13? Do you consider to integrate this modpack into the Build? I think it would be good so as all the installation would be as simple as possible. On the other hand if the modpack has such crucial bugs and Build 12.1 not, so I really don´t know whether it is a good idea and what´s better for all the game. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

By the way, Nathan, did you notice that the new interface is slowering the game a little? I noticed it immediatelly when I installed it into my game. I think the idea is to first make sure that the modpack runs properly and virtually bug-free so that it should be playable for anyone without frustration, then add the modpack as Build 12.5 or Build 13. I suppose there will be an update that you can install on top of B12 and a full installation version.

I remember a problem similar to this in an older build.

The solution I remember was this:

Right after capturing the fort, you are on the dock of Greenford fighting several soldiers. After you defeat them, save the game.

Now, before you go through the gates to the town, press the "T" key.
Then go through the gates and you should encounter more soldiers to fight, and later be able to talk to Danielle, and then go free Clement fro the jail.

If that didn't work, then reload the saved game, and this time press the "I" key, and try again.
 
Hi, Petros. Unfortunately I deleted all the older saves so that I have only several where Nathaniel with his company is in Greenfort. I tried something similar already what you suggest here but Clement didn´t appear. I will try anything yet a little and then I think I will start the new game with corrected modpack or I will wait for Build 13, I don´t know. I am quite frustrated just now so I play another games.
