@Grey Roger ; good observation, so it is! :woot That's very odd, as it's a naval careerin standard and I definitely set the nation at the beginning. I must've changed it without thinking at some point!

I actually had Corsair mentioned alongside naval and merchant initially, but assumed I was incorrect in thinking that it did that as I hadn't actually tried it; so thanks for verifying that for me!

I'll expand the abilities section and make these minor changes within the post above in a bit, to save on reposting. Hopefully the Cargo and Smuggling can be done for tomorrow; I'm running low on free time at the moment though so not sure how much more I can do after that :/

The Flags are not complete under your control yet. I now a Pirate and sail to a Spanish port, under false Spanish
flag, but when I leave my flag turns to Pirate without my orders, so the fort fires on my. It not the first time I saw
flags change without my orders.
 
Whenever that happens, do these two things:
- Check your Nations Relations interface to see what flag you're REALLY flying (sometimes flags from one ship are shown on another; while confusing, that has zero effect on game functionality)
- Post your compile.log here
 
I havn't personally come across that before so I'll put this one down to human error. Good to know though :onya

Ok Pieter I think I'm pretty much done here. I've updated the abilities section and added escort and smuggling in; also added a small bit onto relations and Privateer sections. However, changing the fleet image with a correct flag as Grey Rogers suggested will be very difficult for me on my end, as I've encountered a fairly nasty bug which has disabled both cheat mode (don't have a clue; it's still set to '1') and world map encounters (fairly sure this one's because I fiddled with the day length and some other world map settings to customize my career a bit). I don't have the time to do a full naval career right now or to try and fix this so may be worth someone else just getting that one if possible? :facepalm

Here are the remaining pics/captions which need to be added (as I can't post any more files into that post; the limit is 12 apparently?):

For between smuggling and escort sections:

Don't forget; as with visiting a store, you need to go through with a deal before seeing prices

For after escort quest paragraph:

You must inform the merchant if you intend on raising a false flag!

For your Cheat issue, make sure you have NumLock on or it won't work.
One of the charts can disable worldmap encounters. Maybe you pressed that button?
 
Damn! Thats me being an Apple user showing there :facepalm Hmm it's possible, which chart though? As I don't believe I'd bought any maps.

I'll try and get that shot tomorrow then! Let me know if this is all ok.
 
Ah! No, definitely wasn't that cheat. Though I do use that particular one whenever I need to do screenshots; stops unwanted encounters. Maybe I've just used it too much?

Numpad 8 is the only thing I can think of. Try to toggle it on/off again and see if that resets things.
If that isn't it, then I really don't know.
