Hi,
After muchos messing about with Maya and blender etc. I've finally nailed this damn soldier model.

Not perfect but it's got a texture at last and opens properly in Tool and GM view.

Well I wasn't thinking of it ...was thinking it would be an alternative model for you to do your textures on.
The ones I was thinking of doing were the dark blue EITC soldier/marines off the film.

I have the shoulders on the model to sort out yet .. but when it's done feel free to do what you like with it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

Medievalprops2_obj.rar kan now be found on the FTP in my folder called "PeterWillemoes". They are high-poly, so use with care.

Hi All'

Experiments are going well with Maya and the skeleton & animation we got from Akella\Seaward.....
The hand animation problem is sorted. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Hopefully have complete skin binding 'fine tuning' worked out this week.

First repaired model will be the Jack.gm (think Kazeite remodeled him, Sir Christopher made him work better)...... got it about 90% spot on so far, just the head to seperate and re-bind, but he's looking good.

Intend to fix:-
Sir Christopher Ming's Skull. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> (get the hands working).....2Guns version, the extra guns don't distort now either.
Tidy up Gypsy Captain ( fill the gaps where the head fits on).

Then try to get Davy Jones finished, that damned cloak is going to be hard to get right though.

I'll try to put a tutorial togeather as I go along.

Nice! One thing though about the Jack model, could you make his breeches slimmer? They are too wide! They should be the same size as on the depp model. And could you give the depp model proper boots please?

I am glad that this is working wel!

(Do you have some more information about the source code of POTC from the russians?

Just thinking that we could do with a better Will Turner model with the longer coat (the piratey looking Will <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> )


No news about the source code yet....I'll contact Edward Zaitsev & find out whats going on today.

The Jack Sparrow model "Jack".....Is now repaired, fully working, and ingame ...just finished correcting the texture and will upload within the hour.

Just started working on a Blackbeard model .....an adaptation of the Alexander model by the Russians and pirate 11. No pics yet but initial testing is good.

Davy Jones is a pain in the ass but he'll be completed shortly.
Will Turner models after that.

This character work is becoming enjoyable at last.

I've not been doing him for long but it's coming togeather steadily. Haven't started with the texture yet so he'll look alot different & hopefuly better when finished.

Yeah. Davy Jones must be a pain in the ass. Several people have worked on him now.

But that guy Blackbeard, you got him just right. With new textures, he will look awesome damski62 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
He looks GOOD! One thing about Jack though? Could you add his sash (SCM) and make him a bit wider? He is now very thin. But the arms problem is solved and his breeches are well done!
