Hey, I've started a new character in Build 14 - Nathaniel Hawk, but I've noticed when sailing that the 'compass' in the HUD doesn't show the direction I'm going, and my only indication of direction is a small massage about the wind when I first enter the sea. I noticed on the Hornblower quest though that I can see the direction on the HUD, and in my inventory I had a compass. Is this needed for that functionality now? And if so, where do I find one? I haven't been able to find one in any trader yet.

Also. In the Hornblower quest, I got to the point where you have to sink the Volcano with the Indy and Justinian, and the first time I messed up, so reloaded from a previous save. Yet when I went to fight the Volcano again, it was nowhere to be seen. Even when I restarted the quest and played all the way through, it wasn't there. Possible bug?
 
You do indeed need a compass item equipped. They'll show up at traders after you've leveled up a bit.
 
Cool, I have a compass now and can navigate, although I notice the HUD switches from the big one in the top right hand corner to the small one in the bottom left hand corner, any reason?
 
I hope there indeed is a reason. But it's still a bug that needs to be fixed. :modding
 
Another bug: when I attempted to smuggle Sugar into Bonaire, I did the deal with the smugglers, but could only sell it for 0 gold. Thus I make nothing from the transaction.

Still, tis a good mod, with enough cool features to outweigh the bugs. :)
 
Please post that one on the bug tracker, along with all information you might have,
such as which town on which island and how you made the arrangement to meet. We'll need to look into it.

Build 14 Alpha 9.5 Patch 4 is coming tomorrow, which'll have a lot of bugs fixed. Just not the two you mentioned. :(
 
Ok, will post it on the bug tracker. I'm glad a patch is coming tomorrow, hoping there will be a change log of at least the most major fixes? :onya
 
The patch is already available now and we indeed do have a changelog.
