I'm still sailing Blackbeard's Large Frigate

After seeing it pound a Fast Galleon to matchwood in a single salvo I renamed "Stampy".

My Ship of the Line is "Le Glorieux", as I mostly play as a French Corsair. If a Large Frigate, the name is "La Fier".

When playng as British, "Revenge" is the name I prefer, normally for a large Frigate or a Ship of the Line.

I guess I have been jammy by getting a Ship of the Line within the first (game) year or two of playing. My illustrious flagship is named "The Sick Goat". I took to naming my ships after my girlfriend, Beatrice.

I use my daughter's name: Sarah Marie. I started doing that it another game that I played in the wee hours of the morning when she was a newborn.

Well the name of my Ship depends on my mood. Though I often use "Leoncoeur" when sailing under French Flag!


A friend of mine used to call his Flagship in every Pirate/Privateer Game he playd "Black Pearl". Funny thing is, he did this before the movie came out. Now he doesn't use that name anymore. Can be quite anoying using that name in Multiplayer and all the peaple saying to him, that he don't have much imagination.

I generally use the names of current or former British/RN ships.

My current Large Frigate is the Aeneas, but Ive also had the Saturn, Mars, Revenge (of course), etc.

Just goes on and on, as I printed up a list of all the names the Royal Navy has used on their ships. Its MASSIVE, so I can easily change my ship's name whenever I capture a new one. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

<div align="center">Wow. Ship names seem to be a popular topic. I kind of find that I repeat myself. But, in any case, my preference in ships generally veers towards Royal Sloops or Sloops of War, for speed, though I also like the Brigantine. I generally name my flag ship 'The Eternal Host,' after which I choose among these:

Hand of Glory
Exquisite Corpse
Lupine Blue
Red Admiral
Painted Lady

Though, not a while ago, I ended up calling two 'Hidden Ache' and 'Faded Glory.'
