Done Sir! See attached, no BEEP! WOOPEEE!

Do you see what it means?! That i'm crazy enough to start adding details on every single ship that lacks of it, starting with the stock game models!


I will probably have no time before the 15th of July, date at wich I probably won't be available for modding before setpember but that's something i wanted to do for a longtime, and i think i'll try it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> I'll give you some news ^^

COOL! Do you want it to be a new lugger, or replace one lugger, or replace all models?
This one would be very cool as Nathiel Hawk's starting ship!
 
It's intended to replace the correspounding stock lugger, just the lugger1.

I intend to replace the stock ship models with updated and detailled ones, a kind of 2.0 version of those models, this way all the ships in game will be detailled...

I'm not sure the luggers hulls are all the same and I would like each of the luggers to have a different figurehead or no figurehead to avoid models uniformity

So this one is effectively intended to replace the Nathaniel Hawk's starting ship, I plan to began with the starting ships this way those updates will be immediately noticeable and enjoyable ingame <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

So the next ones will be Barque1 and the Jack Sparrow starting cutter ect... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> then after that lugger2 ect, it will be some long work but I think it can be really enjoyable <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
Different figureheads on the seperate ships? That IS going to be a huge undertaking! I agree it'd be cool though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />
 
I had that in mind for a longtime, we've a limited stock of figurehead but i'll try to put the maximum without having too much similarities between ships, I think some of them won't have any, but i'll put anchors and bells... ect

Indeed there's a lot of stock models we used to make new ships so as you said it'll take a certain time, a long time I think, but I also think it would be cool <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Don't expect that before some weeks but i'm quite determined <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diomed.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dio" border="0" alt="diomed.gif" />
 
It'll take you some months at least, I imagine. But it'd be wonderful if you get that done.
In that case, I probably will not mess around with pennants on ships until you updated them.
Otherwise, we <i>are</i> going to end up overwrite each other's work. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
 
I tought about that, Keep going with pennants, we're all very impatient to see that ingame, keep going, anyway I probably won't have the time to treat a lot of models within 15 days and after that i won't be available for a while, so, keep going, i'll send you the updated models I will have done at that date to add locators, and then, when coming back to work, i'll patch my game and use the models with pennants, problem solved, no time loss <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> and no corrupted models

All the starting ships are done except the Rn_Lineship because I couldn't open any lineship hull with the TOOl

Looking at the Cutter (as it is my storyline default ship) looks really good <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

VERY nice! The Rn_Lineship isn't the Hornblower starting ship anymore, by the way. It's the "BritishWarship" now.

Fair enough; putting all files in one ZIP every week or so is fine too. Or whatever frequency works for you. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />
 
Having now actually looked at the modified ships in the game, I have to congratulate you on the added detail; really does add a nice touch! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />
It's tastefully done too; it looks like it was always there, which is the best compliment I can think of. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Also if you only edit the hull file, it usually doesn't interfere with any pennant-work,
because that's mainly contained withing the mast files.

And the Bellona no longer beeps, which is wonderful too! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />
But is there any way in which you can get to SEE that furniture you added in the captain's cabin?
Seems a bit of a waste to add such nice stuff and not be able to see it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Have you got any idea why these are all referred to by the barque1_deck.gm file?
