More filmships

I'm just basing the colour scheme, ship type etc of that, modelling confuses me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />

Actually, I've changed my mind, I'm Going to make a British sloop of war (black and yellow), and then might make a series of British ships (if that hasn't been done already).

There's a whole bunch of British ships already. We could use some French or Dutch ones though.

OK, I'll do french. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

A couple made by Petros. But we also have a couple of French. But we need some national fleets with the proper colour schemes, I think.

OK, made a spanish sloop:

Any good?

PS. I did that much, much quicker than last time! I've finally found a game that I can mod! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I think it would be useful to make you aware of this, just in case...

Ok; I am having some second thoughts about the French vs the Spanish though. I think if we go with these colour schemes, we won't be able to tell them apart.

Well, POTC isn't napoleonic, and that's the napoleonic navy described (for the french). Could we try and find the navy at that time zone?

Wouldn't it be largely white?

France: Hull: natural wood,
Forecastle, quarterdeck, and poopdeck bulwarks: painted (light) blue along with un-gild parts of stern.
Golden trimming and scroll work, mostley fleur de lis.

We're doing some brainstorming on the age in the PotC game. Whether we want to keep it pre-Napoleonic or go into the Napoleonic era. Or to add a toggle on the Napoleonic stuff. Or to have the Napoleonic stuff appear later in the game.

You're thinking about having it napoleonic!!! (I'm really behind aren't I). I've recently read the Hornblower books, and really like the whole Napoleonic War!

Toggle should be quite possible; main problem is to also switch the interface flags to the tricolour. Perhaps these are best served as additional download. Provided somebody makes them at all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

i'd prefer the era system where you can select your era when starting a new game. or whatever the idea was.

Either selectable in the Choose Character interface, the Advanced Options interface or BuildSettings.h. Preferrably the Choose Character one.
