Master and Commander Cannon mod

Hi I have made a small soundpack of cannon shot sounds from the master and commander movie, as I happen to be a big fan of the movie and just love the sound of those guns in that movie. While they may not be the best it took some effort to make them. If anyone is interested please reply and I will probally upload them.

P.S. I see alot of posts showing skins and ship models but why are there only a few in the file database?

Al recently released ship and character models are in the Post Build 12 modpack. See the link in my signature. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

Well I hope you get them up soon. I too am a great fan of the movie, yet I emplore you to seek out the books. They are fantastic!

Yes im well aware of the books. They really should make more movies of the adventures of Captain Jack aburey.

PS ive tried on all browsers with no success it appears as though PA!'s file uploading system is down.

I heartily agree with you on the making of more movies, based on the novels. I am so engrossed with them currently I'm on book 22, and show no signs of slowing down! It also inspired me to take a 5 hourse cruise in a traditionally rigged schooner in San Fransico during the Tall Ships parade.

If ever you get the change, sail with the square rigged ships, you feel the past come alive like you wouldn't imagine. I'n fact I came abord a pirates (at least for the battle reinactments) vessel moored in San Fransico. Absolutley awsome!!

You wouldn't want to bump into this genteelman

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> there <i>Surprises</i>

In an interview relating to some of his recent work, Billy Boyd (Barret Bonden) briefly mentioned that there was a possibility of another two Aubrey/Maturin movies. He mentioned discussions he'd had with Peter Weir at some point in time. Apparently Peter Weir may already have some sort of early structure for another two movies. Whether 20th Century Fox, Miramax, Universal or anyone else wants to take them on again is another question of course, however, I reckon they'll happen. Can't remember much else about what was said, but he did mention the death of a certain character in the third movie (don't want to spoil it for those who don't want to know yet) which could possibly suggest that it maybe based on Book 19 "The Hundred Days" or maybe just elements drawn from it.

Huzzah! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wavarr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":warr" border="0" alt="wavarr.gif" />

I agree that the books are splendid and I cannot wait to start the next one in the series, but...

Aren't there only 21 books in the whole series and the last one is unfinished to boot? Where did you get the 22nd or have the books been split into smaller parts in some countries? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

My misstake mate, I was including "The Golden Ocean" and some other works which he wrote relating to Naval history fiction, but not at all part of the Jack Aubry series. I'm currently finnishing up "The Commodore", but I took a look at some of his other works. It seems to me his Jack Aubrey series is the finest, though I may be wrong, and pron to a biased towards those characters I've grown to love so much. If you know of any other works you'd suggest let me know. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" /> Oh how I hope those buzzing rumors are true. I can hardly wait, bee's aint in it!

I don't know why it is failing. But i tried to upload something myself and that failed as well. Seems like the same problem that has caused my website to be down for about a week some time ago has now gripped the PA! Public FTP. If you want the file uploaded somewhere, yuo can send it to me at pieter_boelen@planet.nl . I'll put it somewhere. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
And in the meantime, I should contact Keith about the FTP not working.

thank you <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
