Hello all Build players,
As you know, the Post Build 12 mods have been a Work In Progress for over a year now. It might finally be time to take the properly working parts and put it into a new Build version. The Post Build 12 mods seem to become a bit problematic, because a lot of bugs are being added and the filesize is just becoming too large to handle.
So the big question is: What do we need to do to make this Pre Build 13?
<b>1) We need to make the codebase itself, including everything that works fine and is finished and excluding all unfinished stuff and not properly working code.</b>
So what <i>should</i> be added into the Pre Build 13 and (especially) what shouldn't. I think we might have to leave out the new islands mod (because it's unfinished) and the translation mod (because it seems to cause trouble).
Please give me your notes on what should and shouldn't be added. You can also tell what new mods you reckon should be added before release. However, please only ask for new modification that are lacking in the game. For example, the ability to fix guns <i>and</i> blades at blacksmiths. Please don't ask for completely new stuff here (new quests, for example). Completely new stuff will be made eventually, but it won't be added into the Pre Build 13 just yet.
<b>2) We need proper documentation on all features.</b>
We need a ReadMe, a manual and maybe a known bugs list with workarounds. I know Meigger was working on a Manual, but because the features in the Post Build 12 mods kept changing has stopped working on it. I hope you can continue with this work to make documentation for the Pre Build 13.
I will first let everybody post their comments on making the Pre Build 13 update. After that, I will be spending the next few weeks (I won't be having too much spare time anymore, so I don't know how fast it will be done) merging the Post Build 12 mods with the original Build 12. After that I'll upload the Pre Build 13 somewhere, after which we should do some serious bughunting, bugfixing and during which time all documentation can be made. I hope you people will be willing to help.
BTW: Once the Pre Build 13 is done and bugfixed, we might be able to release it as a Build 13.
