Need Help Lost in the Maltese crypt

Francis Drake's sword Does it have any special function in the game?
Redefining my question, if I sell the sword will it be missed in the future?

Francis Drake's sword is the final reward for the sidequest "Find Angelique Moulin's Father". Beyond that, it has no special function and you won't break any quest by selling it.

But you might miss it. It's a very nice sword with good stats and +1 Melee skill. And it never wears out. I'm not sure why you posted this in a thread about the Maltese crypt, but if you do go into the Maltese crypt or abbey, you're going to do a lot of fighting. A powerful sword which never breaks is very useful here!
