I like adventure.
I like C.S. Forester (of Hornblower fame).
I like the film "The African Queen" based on a novel of his (this DVD was actually given to me by my father!).
I like James Newton Howard.
I like his music for Disney films (Dinosaur, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet).
And as it turns out, Metallica does some pretty good stuff too.
I like Pirates of the Caribbean.
I like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
In other words, I have every reason to have been looking forward to "Jungle Cruise" for quite some time now!
And a few days ago, the day was finally there. It was released!
I listed to the soundtrack on Spotify straight away; and honestly, it's just a TON of fun!
Perhaps not quite as sweepingly emotional as Curse of the Black Pearl, but SO much more orchestral and upbeat.
As per usual, James Newton Howard hits another home run.
That main theme is catchy as *insert word of your choice*
Especially as heard in "A Steamer to Brazil".
And those "Nothing Else Matters" variations are way out there as well.
I wanted to watch the movie the past two days, but nobody I know gives a shit about it.
And 22 euro's for me by myself on Disney+ is retarted.
Bugger.
I actually DO really want to see this.
No matter what anyone else thinks.
