Is there any "Burry Your Treasure" mod for POTC?

I thought it could be nice if you would be able to actually burry your bounty on some island or hide it in a cave maybe! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Or is something like this already included in POTC?

I'd be stick'n me loot in me chest in me cabin,dar be no mod to bury yer treasure,I'd be like'n tew use de animist cave after ye defeat them,guess I'd 'ave tew mod that meselfe <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Yes!! That would be very nice!! I´m really looking forward to THAT mod <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Would add another nice detail to an otherwise quite perfect game! (with build 11.99b of course <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> )

I think that eventually the Khael Roa mod will have facility to do that... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

Hi,

I've study <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> the fabulus "location cloning" wrote by CCC in the POTCwiki. I've been particulary interested by his step 6 when he explain how to transform `non-reload` locators in reload locators. By adapting his explications and modifying some files, i have find a way to transform locators (like randitem or goto locators) in random box or permanent box locators. I've tested it and it seems it works. It could be a good thing to burry a treaure in a cave or somewhere in a jungle.

perferbly in de secret cave on Devils Island,a chest tew stash yer loot would be perfect <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> ,jest a suggestion mate <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Great job on de Devils Island Mod <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

YES, that is an EXCELLENT addition to the game, and we are delighted that you were able to do it!

Nice to see you around again, Screwface! We're getting ready to release Build 12 that will have your Devil's Island addition to KR... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

With the CVS server we should be able to add fixes and additions to the game "on the fly - so updates won't be as difficult as before!

I have puted 3 files on the CVS server who contains the modifications to transform the Randitem in the last cave (behind the door) of the KR hideout in a permanent chest.
the 3 files are :

PROGRAM/Characters/characters_events.c
PROGRAM/ITEMS/itemLogic.c
PROGRAM/Locations/locations_loader.c

Could you test it and ask me if there are some bugs. You can normally put items and gold in the chest. Go spend time on the sea. If you return to the chest, your object will normally be still in. The chest must be permanent like in the cabin

I have also puted a random chest in the conceicao grot to illustrate the possibility to transform locators in random box too.

Ate,thanks mate,I'd be grabb'n it ASAP <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Excellent idea <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Great to hear that something new has evolved out of that tut. If you like feel free to add a chapter about "buried chests" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> That's the idea of a Wiki <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I have nothing against your idea. That would be cool but my knowledge of english language is not sufficient to allow me to write technical explications in the Wiki. But if you want to write a new wiki thread about "buried chests", i could explain it to you (the method is very similar that for the `non-reload` locators !).

PS: excuse me for my late answer.
