who did ya play in VCO drow and what server? I was the notorious pirate Robby_Hood =) I quit after I got tired of guys being able to gang up on me near a port where they could just be back after 30 seconds after I kill them and eventually wear me down to board and loot me, depriving me of my entire avatar and not getting hardly anything when boarding them when they did occasionally drop loot because I was a "red-named" pirate and they weren't >.>

Morgan: Yep, it was VCO that had me taken in for quite some time. Actually overall a pretty damned fun game, but lacking in some execution. Something of a cross between Diablo/Dungeon Siege for the land fighting and the earlier Age of Sails titles for the sea battles. All point and click. I've also been spending a lot of time looking for work and getting my home life straightened out. The work thing really sucks for me right now.

Le_Sigh: I was Marcus on Columbus server. I remember seeing you a lot down by Cape Town. Actually fought by your side a few times in various BF's in my ship, Ariadne. I generally figured you were red named because of fools deciding you would make a nice fat target to attack. **grins** And I agree, there have been a lot of silly decisions made regarding how VCO plays and works. I've been involved since the beginning of Alpha. Yet it feels like IGG keeps ignoring our suggestions and bug reports, especially since they've started making money from the item mall.


I apologize for not visiting the forums much the last few months everyone. Just wound up highly involved in some stuff, specifically a couple of guilds in VCO that took up a lot of my spare time.

I'm back though, and with a vengeance. Looking real forward to poking around again and giving out my odd bits of wisdom and suggestions, as usual. **winks**

diablo eh? i might even try playing it. maybe. my computer's so damned slow it can't even play most internet games without lag. the internet speed is fast enough though.
 
Well, if you do decide to have a go at it. I play on the Columbus server, as do a number of others from these forums. Ledhed, Rico & NavySquid to name a few names. **grins**

My char is Marcus.

But I've not been playing quite as much as I had been. Thats part of why I'm back here, rekindling friendships and working on personal projects as well as continuing my job-hunt, etc.

Rico who are you and what server...all this time I though Marcus was the rep for Pirates Ahoy . lol

Marcus was truly ganked by IGG ...and the Irony is he is /was one of the most dedicated players I have ever been in a game with .

He kept the first guild going long after it shoould have died and worked like a demon on the second guild only to have a bug kill him..it removed him as guild leader...and no amount of tech support...* ahem * could save him .

This is tech support BTW and the baby talk is what you are reduced to after hours of being online with them .

No I am veteran of game ..playing since Dec 22..I was standing next to tutor and clicked on him BEFORE starting scroll ..I was warned ahead of time to do this. But as soon as I clicked on Skill tutor scroll stopped .

I have friends who used skill books before. They warn me to click on the skill tutor before you start scroll so when you get to 31 you dont move when you ask him to go to phase two .

I actually have worse examples...but this one is funny in way .

No Marcus is sorely missed along with Fae...and we all understaand the situation and wish him the best .

It was IGG's huge loss to alienate him so bad ...at any rate I am waging Ledhed Jihad against them ...I still play and have tried to keep whats left for when Marcus comes back ...its ..ummm called RumRunners ....and it your Marcus cause I have not got a clue...but IGG offered 10 mil to establish another NEW guild..lol...and once Zsarts quit ..well that was it ...losing all your friends in a slow bleed is agonizing in the extreme.

I am up to 6 alts now ..lol I keep them soaking up bandwidth....and still e-mail IGG with complaints every day like clockwork...and include transcripts from customer anti-service.

ROFLMAO. hahahahha Jihad! XD yeah @&$ them. not even sure if I want to get involved with POTBS. I think i may have been pernamently turned off of multiplayer games due to that experience. who wants to spend their entire day grinding anyways? If I wanted to do something dull, boring and repetitive for my entire evening, I'd moonlight as a factory worker and get paid monies for it for the same amount of entertainment.
 
Yup ..we dont grind much at all so of course , most of us are waaaaaaaay behind those that do ...I still have a lvl 4 Warship ...but I made cannon...BUKs.... and get huge kicks outta blowing away much larger Victims that think its an easy mark . They really dont expect the range and Almost 360 degree coverage.
The big problem is of course lack of crew and Hull in a ship that size not to mention speed and manuver..but ..lol..as long as its one ship ...and THEY are not using Player made cannon...they are mostly very dead ..blow off sails and pound with grape from blind spots or just stay out of range..once the sails are gone they usually just curse alot ....the ones that call my momma bad names I sink with ap so they lose cannons.
But hardly anyone bothers .Way too many juicy targets ...lol..

We do hang out and shoot stuff...just because we like to shoot stuff . Or kill lizards or other weird stuff .
The two or three that do grind do it like its religion.

At any rate they sent a 10 million silver donation..lol..Hopefully marcus see's that . The donation was to start over cause they admit defeat I think with old guild.

And thats a killer cause it was in Japan for one and it wass unique among the cookie cutter guilds. for a while we had some really great chemistry ..then the bug hit ...and all the problems got put on one person.....as I said I don't know how he did it...or Fae ...

We thank you both and Miss you in the game . And hope to see you soon before I press the wrong buttons again and declare war on the server and we all die horrible deaths....lol


J/K..... Get some peace and quiet and hopefully we will get toghether soon if not in VoC then another game ..or three.

PotBS will be different - it's an American/European-type MMO, not a Korean/Japanese one. Means less grinding... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
