Humble Request to the Modellers

I noticed that the lugger VML used a mast locator for a steering wheel, and that Petros his Ketch
uses a mast locator for a statue, so my question was:

<b>could you make a separate steering wheel gm model, so you can place it on a ship by locators
this would be much simpler to add a steering wheel for people who dont have expensive modelling software
or can`t model.</b>

so, kazeite or another modeller, could you please do this for the community (or just for me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> )

Pieter: Like myself, Thomas is doing work for both communities. I believe Thomas is currently concentrating on stuff for AOP. But this is stuff that could apply to both games.

Thomas: Believe it or not, I've actually been thinking about exactly something like you suggest, only I was just thinking of maybe seeing if we could do a changeable head(can't think of the name of the damned things right now), but so one could have a customisable bowsprit eventually. This idea could apply to any number of new items that could be declared on any ship just by adding the correct locator to the model.

I was initially wondering about this to figure out if we could create upgradeable rigs, that could be changed out just like the hull and cannon upgrades. I'm not sure how doable it would be though. We'd probably have to hash these ideas out with the code guru's to be sure they'd work. Then it would also be a whole pile of additional work to get them in-game across the board.

But I like it. It perfectly coincides with some of my continued personal brainstorming I've been doing.

Oke, thanks, i hope someone makes this seperate steering wheel, I would like to make some new AOP ships from old POTC ones, but the POTC ones lack steeringwheels. And i think that a bowsprit statue is a good idea capn drow, or some other stuff on board.
