How to enter Turk?

So i started a new game (free2play) at the current version and think i got a new problem i cant switch my main ship anymore with any other ship thats in my fleet or boarded resently... in my other game at the older version it wasnt a problem at all.

If so, gameplay is a bit different than you're used to

Your "Naval Rank" is most obviously shown under F2>Nations Relations. When your rank title turns GREEN there, it means you are up for promotion.
As a "Naval Officer", a new promotion means a new command, so you'll get a nice new ship for FREE (but will also give up your current one).
