How can i improve game performance?

Hi mates, this is my first topic here so....i would like to know what can i do to increase game performance without loosing the visual quality? Is there any special configuration in BuildSettings or other files to do this?

Well, the problem is when i have several ships in the screen, like 5 ou more ships....the game speed reduces drastically. My system is P4 3.0 GHz 512 MB with ATI 9600 PRO 256 MB...

I think you got the point. Im running with the new drivers and now with 5 ships in the screen the game runs smooth <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

I can´t land on Khael Roa, is this correct?

That's correct. Kael Roa is the island where the end of the main quest takes place, so you cannot visit the island until you go through the main quest.

Remove memory.mp from your main PotC folder if it is there. That might speed up the game quite a bit. There are also settings to improve game performance. Look through BuildSetting.h and PROGRAM\InternalSettings.h for them.

Thanks Pieter. I already removed the memory.mp in that day and i really noticed the increase of performance. So i kept the game settings to run with full quality ....now its perfectly <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
