Hornblower Walkthrough - Mar 2010

Thanks a lot; now let's hope there isn't more missing... :facepalm
I'm just now making some nice screenshots of your storyline.
 
i have a small problem not very big but there stands go to next beach but i don't find the beach or if i find it accidentally there's no archie.
 
in the spanish prison. You have the mission that you and your crew may go for a walk on the beach you see a battle between the indefetigable or something like that and a spanish ship. you get permission to get a boat to help out the spaniards. but i can't find archie nor a boat. in the walkthrough it stands to the next beach but if i walk where my men came from. there's no archie and no boat. so where can i find it to continue my storyline

When you walk to the next beach you go to the end of the beach you are on -- get a loading screen & and are loaded onto a new section of beach - Archie & the boat should be there on the new section of beach.

need to walk to the end of the beach where my men came from. okay but i runned it up and down 30 times but now i will try to walk.
 
okay i saved some of the crew but now i'm stuck again i can't get on the other beach. ( i saved the crew by going to my boat with the fast travel than shore)
no way. can someone post a little picture where i need to be for example... i can't get to playa de sabana.
 
Let's be sure where you are (because you go the boat beach twice)

First time:
Storm -a Spanish ship is being wrecked.
You go to the beach fro your boat and the video of the rescue starts.
When it is finished you are automatically transferred to the Indy.

Second time:
You are released from prison and you go to the boat beach and meet Pellew.
You then sail to Jamaica.

To get to the 2nd beach - face the sea - turn right - go to far end of beach - at rocks there is a reload point ( reload reload4 in image ) - when you walk onto it you get loading screen for second part of beach

Thanks Talisman. A lot of us got hung up on that spot. It went well once we made it past that tho.
 
hi all i have found another trouble. When i attack the fort where you were prisoned in the storyline. Well if i get to the bridge the cannon shoots and i die doesn't matter what i do, i allways just die. so can someone please tell me how to get through this piece without dieing and still can continue my storyline. i really really want to do this storyline.
 
There are 2 paths leading off the beach up the slope to the ropebridge & the cannon ( they join together half way up the slope). :yes

If you pick the wrong path off the beach then the cannon will kill you :boom

Go along the beach and find the other path and use that - half way up the slope where the 2 paths join -Sharpe will send the riflemen forward to deal with the cannon ( as per walkthrough)

sh*ttttt i saved after i walked on the wrong path so now i will need to start over again. really the tutorial should be a little more clear. and i should be possible to minimize my game without letting it crash.
 
hi you should remove one tekst and possibility..
I went through the tunnels started over YESTERDAY EVENING cause i saved wrong place, wrong time. But now Richard Sharpe says we could get through the door in the academy but now i can't talk to captain Pellew cause he ain't there, he ain't in the backroom and i can't find him. That's not the baddest part but now it's freaking bugged cause richard sharpe doesn't move anymore
 
As a general rule when playing any of the quests it is always a good idea to SAVE before you change location.
That way you can always get back if you make an incorrect choice as you progress.

I'm not sure how you got where you are in the game right now, but you could try going back to the Back Room in the Mystery House and talk to Pellew there.
 
well that's the problem pellew is no where to find in the whole map
i even went through the tunnels again but richard sharpe won't move anymore. But now i'm doing Jack Sparrow storyline i kinda done with Horatio Hornblower for the moment. doing the same quest 3 times in a week is quite much. i know big part of it in my head all ready.
