I'm really sorry about this, but as you can see from Jack Harrison's latest post, there were still issues with the ship, so she wasn't release-worthy in time.
She should be good to go pretty soon now, though! :dance

Sorry for my lack of updates. :facepalm
I have the fixed mast I needed, but minimal time to work on the ship currently; exams coming up next week. :shock
And Jack Harrison is working on the walk patch a bit more, I think.
Does anyone know how to make a sailorspoints/walk file? We'll need one eventually for both Surprise and Poseidon.
 
So that is all that is holding the ships up is sailorpoints? I dont know how to add sailorpoints but I thin k Luke does. Maybe you could reles them without the crew and someone will add the appropriate files when they can.
 
You use the walk file/sailorpoints converter, you could then convert sailorpoints to walk files and test them on the Surprise and see if you get a match. There should be a program that does the walk files for POTC well i think there is one. Pieter might be able to shed some light on any such program.

Not exactly, it's mainly my dilemma of time management right now.
Bearing in mind I need a LOT of time for college work, it's hard to find sufficient time to work on this.
BUT with exams now over 'till the summer, and a fairly empty weekend coming up, I might be able to make some progress! :dance

Maybe you could reles them without the crew and someone will add the appropriate files when they can.
I probably will do at first, I was just asking to see if anyone could help out here. :shrug
 
If you upload the ships and data I will have a crack at the sailorpoints. But it will be slow for its my first time.
 
Well we're not exactly in a rush, so don't worry about that.
All the files are in Jack Harrison's folder on the PotC files FTP if you want to give it a go. :onya
 
After I take my exam tomorrow I will give it a shot.

My recommendation is to use the Sailorspoints tool and then use the conversion program to convert to PotC walk.
The PotC version requires Maya and all sorts of stuff that nobody here knows how it works.
I don't think it's easy to use either, so just make it for AoP/CoAS and then convert it. :yes
 
I noticed that she is missing some lifelines aft, ratlines on her main and mizzen mast and some deadeyes. :shrug
Are they still being worked on?
 
For the ships_init entry, the main difference from the old Surprise is the number of guns, I think.
I haven't really developed the entry much, yet.

Not sure, but I know Jack is working on the walk patches for Surprise and Poseidon.

However, I could not make the crew walk on the lower deck because the hight from the cannon deck and the main deck is not hight enough and the crews heads poke out the main deck looking rather weird.

If you mean in-game, I haven't a clue. Those aren't my modified files, but I still don't see why they should cause CTDs.
Are you sure you integrated the all ship's files into the game correctly?
Anyway, if you can't figure out what's wrong, I can test the walk file for you using my WIP version. :yes
