That looks pretty cool! :D

Question: Whatever happened to that updated Endeavour/Dauntless model you had been working on?
Is that actually working properly now?

The model works in Coas. It only has the problem with the reflections in firing on the opposite side panel.
I know not how to eliminate it. :shrug
But that does not bother me really.

And when there's lighting from the sun or the moon, she's also lighted on the wrong side, no?
I'll ask ZarethPL if he might see a chance to fix her too.
It is this file, right? http://www.pyratesahoy.com/potc/pgargon/HMS%20Victory/HMS_Victory_1.0.rar

No. Please Use the HMS_Victory_1.03.
Thanks.

That looks pretty nice indeed :)

Two things, though:

The textures on the stern look either wobbly (the top part) or hopelessly stretched (the bottom part around cannons).

Also, why does everyone insist on using those high-poly cannons? Those guns alone account for over 70% of your polycount :shock By using somewhat simplified versions (like, say, mine?) you could easily cut the polycount in half!

That is true I will myself try to make guns have fewer polygons and look like it real.

Looking really nice !
About the texture, would by chance the textures background be white ? or some clear color ? there are some edges showing where the texture joins, try a black background...

@Kazeite: i knew you would mention the cannons ! xD:

Ah! THERE's the correct version: http://www.pyratesahoy.com/potc/pgargon/HMS%20Victory/HMS_Victory_1.03.rar

That ship is really well coming, thanks a LOT matey! I've awaited for a longtime an accurate lineship model, to replace the stock bathtubs we actually have! This one will be a very nice basis for a lot of things! Suchs as older lineships, east india company smaller ships, ect...

One thing tough the barrier at the top of the stern seems a bit high and a bit misplaced to me, it breaks a bit the general lines and design of the ship, even if it appears on the wooden model.

Except that, that's a very good news to see that ship coming, I really hope we'll see that little jewel in game! Cheers matey! :)

I just had a brain wave for these big ships... could you easily make a razeed version of this for a large frigate or cruiser? You could then make 2 ships at once for the game. Or 3... if you went as far as cut two decks off a 3 decker.

Why were large ships cut down?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Razee

A big frigate with full 32 pounder armament is something very scary indeed, and she holds her stuff better when the going gets rough.

Wow! :woot
I'm making a wooden model of the Bellona!
If you want i've got the plain and i can help you with the details and the textures... :gday

Very nice indeed, but I'm looking at the portholes and it seems to me that the hull is rather thin. I think increasing the hull thickness 1,5-2 times would make it just perfect. Still those are only my 2 cents

When import to the AOP, It looks not as beautiful as it in the 3DMAX. So, I think the Engine of AOP is a little out of date. :shrug

You're not using Maya to export, right? That might explain why she looks a bit oddish in the game.
She's probably subject to the reverse lighting bug again. :facepalm
