Help with a main quest issue

Been searching the forums and I seem to have a unique problem. My entire crew has disappreared. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" /> I spied on Oxbow. Reported back to Redmond gov. Returned to talk with a guy in Oxbow...got ambushed by french guards...and then got hidden away from them by the Shipyard owner. It was right after the french guards come in and then leave...my crew is now gone. Any suggestions? Luckily I have a series of save games to go back.

The disapearing crew shouldn't be a problem, I never noticed that happening when I played the original game, but I don't think I ever looked.

After the French guards leave a dialog should automatically start with the shipbuilder and the English Counter spy where you agree to deliver a chest and go back to the tavern to meet with the French Turncoat.

Did that happen? If so go an meet with the French Turncoat in the tavern and follow the dialogs, everything should work out in the end. (I don't want to give too much away and wreck your game, hang onto those save games, they can keep you from growing tired of hearing Keira Knightly talking... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> )

This part of the quest seems to give a lot of people trouble the first time through, but it sounds like you are still on the right tack, and once you get thru it you'll see why your crew apparently bugger'ed off.
