HELP! Vista!!!

Check what graphics card you have in your computer. It's probably related to that.
I've got an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 TurboCache and that does work.
 
You'd try to download all versions of video driver for your card and see what happens when they're installed. You'd simply enter <a href="http://www.google.com" target="_blank">www.google.com</a> or any other internet search engine and type name of your card (example <a href="http://www.google.pl/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Apl%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=pl&q=Mobile+Intel%C2%AE+4+Series+Express+Chipset&lr=&btnG=Szukaj+w+Google" target="_blank">here</a>). The Intel support page is: <a href="http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2991" target="_blank">http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Fi...?ProductID=2991</a>: you'll need to select your operating system from a dropdown list, press "Go" button and use "Download" link from list which appears after. When done, you'd need ensure in documentation accompanying setup program that your video card is really on the list of supported hardware (it should be, but just to make sure) and launch setup program. It shall install all required files and finally ask you to reboot the computer (on XP, I'm not sure how is on Vista, but it might be the same). If something would go wrong, you'd try to repeat procedure or install your old graphics driver from some kind of support CD you should get together with your computer.

If any won't help, I'm sorry. It seems I was extremely lucky that I have Intel onboard video card which somehow is able to run PotC... I thought that if my version works, newer models will too... Not all, only one from the upper two. I would recommend exe installer (<a href="http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProductID=2991&DwnldID=17221&strOSs=159&OSFullName=Windows%20Vista*%20Home%20Premium,%2064-bit%20version&lang=eng" target="_blank">Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows Vista* 64 (exe)</a> because you'll only need to click on a file without necessity of extracting it.

hmm kits sayin the downloads aren't compatibale with my laptop or somethin!!! i tried all of them, the vista home premium 32 bit, the vista home premium 64 bit and the vista one!!!
 
It seems that you have some hardware problems... Since "fighting" with such things can be dangerous, and, what's more, I have zero experience with Vista, I unfortunately can't give more advices. Too bad.

Neither do I. It seems virtually always when you have an Intel onboard GFX card, you're screwed as far as this game's concerned. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
