i know that it is old, old game, but does anyone knows where can i found patches for the game cutthroats, if they still exists <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

i gaved it to my 10 years old cousin long time ago and few days ago i borrowed it from him to remember myself of this good, old game. its still funny, but crashes often.

ill be thankfull for any help

Ahh, I remember Cutthroats, that game had such potential, but just sucked. If I remember correctly, the patches helped a little, but not much.

Yeah, the game had great potential, but when the one look at the aop, for example, gets the feeling that nothing had changed in the meantime <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

hmmm, there seems to be a problem...

when i tried to connect to the link, i was asked for a password etc., so i typed it in, but keeps saying login error. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

i think i posted a quick way to fame proccedure here.... anyways it was fun somewhat, but after you got 200 marines you could take out any city. and it took about 30 minutes to do that :-(
 
from my expirence the quickest way to conquer the town is to take a governor mansion

anyways the patch improves a game enough to be a playable and interesting for a while <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Well, I installed it.. but I can't get into the FTP to get the patch <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> I've followed the directions, but it wont let me in <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

i managed to download it from ftp, but only after a dozen tries

it was indeed a great game, but now too old to compete with new 3d games coming on the market

something like a new, improved version would be SMP, if the cutthroats were improvement of the old amiga pirates

anyways, i regret for those old times when life of a pirate was much easier <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

You know, I hear either that game is great or it really sucks. Must be somewhere in between. I bought that game when it first came out but it would freeze up <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> so I kind of moved on from it. I wound up scratching the game disk I had pretty bad when I took it out a year later to play it and that was that. Recently, after reading through the manual again and seeing how involved it was (the game really was well thought out) I decided to get it off of ebay and try it out again. Its a game that I found myself really wanting to like, maybe because the game did hold so much promise.

I have version with Spain, England, France, Netherlands and Denmark involved, and its not a Gold version ( at least nowhere says so ). And, historically looking, these nations were only in Caribbean ( well, except maybe Courland and Brandenburg ).

It would be great if Portugal ( with Brazil ) and Caribs / Mayas are in the game <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ib012.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cry" border="0" alt="ib012.gif" /> .


PLEASE tell us what`s in the Gold Edition!
 
Corsairs was a great game, I wish they would release them as a free download. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
 
I already thought that I missed something in pirate gaming world <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

But, unfortunately I didn`t grab my piece of Corsairs ( I think that it wasn`t even published in Croatia <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> ).
Altough there are new games which are more advanced in graphics and features, for me the old ones are still great and funny. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />
