Can someone explain to me wich programs you need for this program, I`ve downloaded it but he doesn`t view the details: colours, face, only the white silouhet. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

You must point the texture (TX) path to the right folder as well (see picture attached). If you do that, does it work?
If you want to test: Point the model (GM) folder path to <i>Your PotC Installation</i>\RESOURCE\MODELS\Characters and the texture (TX) path to <i>Your PotC Installation</i>\RESOURCE\TEXTURES\Characters and see if the models are displayed with textures. If not, something weird is going on... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

You'll need to go modeling for that. The GM Viewer can only show the files, not edit them. I believe Inez Dias' <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net/index.php?showtopic=3310" target="_blank">tool</a> is capable of making some major changes to the models, such as switching heads. I have been unable to manage to do anything with it myself though. But you can give it a try. As for giving them another coat: I reckon you should retexure the model. Convert the nescessary TGA.TX file to TGA with the TGA/TX Converter that is... well... somewhere around here. I just don't know where. It might be on the FTP.

I'm afraid I don't know how it works either... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Inez Dias herself, of course. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
I reckon Catalina, Petros, Alan Smithee, Nathan Kell and High Sea Lass all understand it as well. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Thomas, what do you mean it doesn't show the details ?
And how can I help you ?
The tool isn't really a modeling program, you can only do simplethings with it. For major changes, you can use the tool to convert the gm files to vrml and then edit the model in a modeling program such as Max, Maya or Cinema4D.

You need to convert the required textures from TGA.TX back to TGA (using the TGA/TX Converter), then point the texture path to the path you converted the files to.

To Inez Dias: if you could possibly make the tool read TGA.TX files instead or in addition to TGA files, that would be really wonderfu. Would save a lot of converting. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
