i just found that on ebgames.de

<a href="http://www.ebgames.de/product_info.php/products_id/3288" target="_blank">http://www.ebgames.de/product_info.php/pro...roducts_id/3288</a>

It says that there will be a `T-Shirt` and a big map included. It also says that there will be bonus missions.....
I never heard about the bonus missions in the US Limited Edition....

Would be nice if Jeff could tell us what these Bonusmissions are.

But i think the Box looks pretty cool <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Yeah, the box DOES look pretty cool. I would assume that the bonus missions will be premade campaigns like the original had. You could play Henry Morgan and try to sack Panama etc... they were like single cruise scenarios if I remember right. Though I have seen no mention of them elsewhere.

For what you say I asume there will be an European Collector´s Edition. I hope so, because I would like to play again the original Pirates¡ (my old Commodore Amiga died long ago). It´s true that nothing has been said about scenarios (like the old version scenarios) but that´s nothing to worry about for me, as I never played them very often in the old game. The only one I played sometimes was Baron de Pointis one to have 1.200 men and five frigates but that was all. I really hope that Atari will release the European Pirates and European Collector´s Edition at the same time.

Well i still have an Amiga in kinda new condition :p. Anyway on ebgames.de the release date are

Normal Edition : 12 November
Collectors Edition : 18 November

So it seems that the normal edition will be even out before the US one.

Should be bonus content, but not bonus missions. They're getting the same stuff as in North America as far as theme packs that you can use. But they're going a step further with the `T-shirt`, and possibly the map.

I'll be visiting our UK office next week in London, so I'll let you know what their plans are then.

Best,
Jeff Foley

NO! I want the European stuff as well! I only live in Canada temporarily and will be moving back to Finland next August! Don't let them have better maps than us, or I'll be shamed in front of my fellow Finns with my lesser version!

I wrote an email to ebgames Germany today and they told me that they got their information directly from Atari. I also wrote Atari Germany today but so far no answer.
Btw the map is in `DIN-A2` format, so its pretty big. Also what i didnt mentioned before, that the manual is listed as extra high quality. I dont really know what that means but i guess it will look different from the normal one.

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" /> MAN!!! I like that shirt!!! And we don't get it in the US version? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

I better get a cool map and an upgraded manual! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

hm i should buy some of the collector editions and sell them here with a nice little profit... hehe <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> . Of course Atari could just put the `T-Shirt` and the map in the US Version too *hint* <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I would imagine that the `T-shirt` is probably something that the Atari Europe people are doing for their market. I doubt the Atari USA people will ever even see it.

I was under the impression that the LE was for the US market alone, but I guess I was wrong, which is good for you guys over the pond.
