funny thing with the cursed pirates at the entrance to the tavern....i wanted to see what would happen if i had GOD MODE ON....i fought for half an hour, trying to keep them away, and trying everything to get them to talk to me again....no good. wouldn't work...so, if i had hung around, and not just reloaded the game in the governor's office just before that, i would be fighting forever....3 immortals fighting for all eternity! and the guards were swarming out of every corner imaginable, and we were covered in them in seconds [or rather, the pirates were].....and they were all killed, by which time even MORE guards had come out....it was worse than tortuga....
another thing: never take your officer into a tavern. they'll kill the innocent people if a tavern brawl starts...and then you'll be hunted by the town guard....and if it happens too often, you might have the fort to deal with afterwards...crazy places in the Caribbean nowadays... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
another funny story: i had modified the Black Pearl to be fast...er. i was chasing down a corvette.....i was about to fire some grape shot into it, to help me when i boarded it [less crew is always better in a boarding!], but i zoomed right past it before i could fire a shot! by the time i had slowed down enough to aim and fire, it had sunk! i wanted that ship as part of my fleet!........i guess not.... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
