A cowcatcher's the thing that used to be on the front of locomotives - it was designed to save livestock standing on the track by picking it up and sliding it off to one side of the train or the other, rather than running over it and possibly causing a derailment. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
