but if some want the flag.. hey why should'nt i make it..

and there will be an option for being a Portuguese privateer when the master trainer comes out... as to be a chinese pirat a long way from home...

It was the flag used from 1640 onward when Portugal got free from the Spanish rule. Before that, under the Spanish rule, it was the white flag with shield resting on twelve olive branches (maybe fourteen?). The flag you depicted is the royal standart of D. Pedro II, which has nothing to do with the Portuguese flag.
What you read fromt he link I gave you was Brazil, in 1821, adopted it as their flag too! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

So, if you are willing to make it more historical, please do it like it is in the link. On the other hand, if you have more to do with your time than designing a Portuguese flag of times past (which I find perfectly sensible! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> ), just put the royal shield in a white background (sometimes, in less cerimonial occasions, it was used like that). But the green background? Only after 1910 with the advent of the Republic...

I just whipped up a couple US flags. Theyre not the highest quality, I suppose, but they look fine in game. Ones the old 13 star American flag, the others the red/white striped USN Jack (its in my sig).
