This is probably why I've been unable to do it then, I was thinking that if I was in the boarding screen then my ship wouldn't be taking storm damage, ah well I now know not to keep trying hehe <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

I wonder, if one did board (make change in code to allow it), after completing it, would the storm counter still not allow the transition to map mode until some time passed?
BTW, ever pull into port during a storm?
Once you can exit storm, just dock. Then walk around town with everyone out and about in the torrential downpour.

As far as the storm counter is concerned this is what I was wondering, for example if you get into a storm with a battle near the start of the game and the storm is doing large damage it may be seen as a cheat to board then after boarding if the map option had appeared it would allow a player to effectively miss a storm.
I really like the stormy weather effects, I've docked after storms before and the storm still rages it makes some land fights look really good with the lighting, etc still going strong, especially in places like sneeking into oxbay or whatever.
