I second the motion.
 
While the project is on hold because of development of our own game called Pirate Simulator we do however are in communication with akella in regards of a combining effort creating an OPEN Expansion Pack for age of pirates, this might however change completely if by the way it's going now akella is going to make an expansion pack for Pirate Simulator instead.
 
The hell you say? It's no minor feat to have Akella as a potential expansion developer for a game that isn't even out. It looks like Pirate Simulator cannot come soon enough. From the looks of it it has everything most of us have been looking for in a Pirate/Naval game. The closest thing available now is PoTC with Build 13 (soon 14) mod. If the forthcoming Pirate Simulater manages to be that game and more I'll make sure to force everyone I know to buy a copy! Ideally Pirate Simulator should be something like a cross-breed between PoTC w/ Build 13 and Port Royale 2 by Ascaron (for the economics mostly). That game would rule all! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbs1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":2up" border="0" alt="thumbs1.gif" />
 
A final release has been made of the Supermod and nothing has been done on AoP since. Work still continues on the PotC Build Mod and the AoP 2: CoAS Gentlemen of Fortune Mod.
 
this "expansion" went well like politics.. err... you know how politics is.. we give you this and give you that and in the end you get nothing but everything is just fine and we are still working on the project!Geez ! I see this in 2012 as a dead project!
 
So what exactly is the point of you resurrecting it mate? This is the 4'th post you have made resurrecting a tread since you joined the forum today. So far, you have yet to provide any useful information or add any useful comments.
 
well usually old threats on any gaming forums are closed by moderators and sent to closed archive where nobody can reply to them. I am still expecting news from the game thats why i resurrected it. I am sorry if i ever caused any thruble.
 
I'm not sure you really "Caused Trouble" just if you decide to leave some goofy replies, try to give useful info or ask a question.

I know it's almost 16 years later, but out of curiosity, do you have a link to your game? Or is this the game you've been working on? It's the only game I could find that literally has the name, Pirate Simulator.

As far as I know, "Pirate Simulator" is cancelled.
If it was ever in development at all.
There have been fake projects...
 
The time frame of this Pirate Simulator fits with this one:
It's about the abandoned Peter Blood game (and the video has some interesting history of all the Sea Dogs games too).
