So,

I recently downloaded build 14 A7 and 1stly: fantastic work. I played using 13 for a while, but this is now a fantastic game with some great features.
On starting Build 14 I was approached by a `nice` man from the EITC who suggested I should raise the EITC flag...Now not being able to find said flag I ignored it, and dialogue seems to accept that I haven't raised it (lines like "I see that you haven't raised our flag").

My question is, am I able to do so (to a level that the game notices, and not just my own personal flag) and do I need to do so? I have no doubt that I have missed something simple and obvious, so sorry in advance.

Any help wud be gr8!

At the moment the game uses your personal flag and it is "auto-raised"
It is a new flag designed by one of the modders here. (I apologise that I cannot recall which one at the moment - but I'm sure Pieter will remember)
It is intended to get you past most "iffy" situations, but not ALL, so, "Sail with Care".

The EITC flag was made by Thomas the Terror, but it's not actually in any of the Builds at all, not even the Alpha's. Right now this dialog is a bit odd, but eventually the feature might be added if Pirate_KK manages to finish his different flags mod.
 
Wait, Pieter. I once checked the Merciless Mark's three realistic flag zip files (on the ftp) and one of them had the EITC flag as personal flag. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
 
That does not constitute "in the Build". The one I knew of was made by Thomas the Terror. Possibly Merciless Mark also made one. You don't remember the thread where the poor guy wanted to resize the flags on his warship? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> but result was ridictiously long flags. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />
 
Ah gdgd, thanks v. much for the clarification guys. Ill stick with using custom flag for now then; i looked at Merciless Mark's three realistic flag zip files, and i even had a go making an EITC flag my self (going to keep using his flags for now...they're v good!)

I've noticed i've never seen an edit of the red flag with white shapes (personal flag) in the interface...i looked for the texture in textures/INTERFACE and found all nationalities cept the custom one...where's it hidden?

Now.. make that flag's height taller and replace the flag with a big fish net and we

I'll bet that was something to see. Prolly made it easy to find his way back to port <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
 
Maybe i should whip up another flag or two, IF i can find the time.
Actually right now i have PoTC and the build mod uninstalled, hence why i havent been around much lately. Been very busy with Life and i have another major project on the go so ive had to conserve harddrive space.
Though if all goes well ill probally buy a new HD next month, and then we shall see <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
