Abandoned Dungeon and Temple Maps

Just a minor curiosity. If you have these maps and you enter the locations why not have a quest marker flashing your current position?

Because that would be REALLY difficult? I've got no clue how we might make that work.
Each location model probably has a different coordinate system too.

It's not a big deal really. Just wondering why there aren't any markers.
