Has ANYONE else seen that dead albatross in a chest. ANYONE! Seriously, I found solingen rapiers at level 2, and now that dead albatross seems to be the most useful thing, at level 20! I didnt think that the random item genarator could be random enough to put in seabirds in most of the chests that I look in. Who made that one up? and why is it so weird and, well, random. It did give me a laugh for, uh, 5 or 6 or 17 hours, I mean thats SERIOUSLY weird! Its stuck in my head, and Im planning some sort of exsorcism thingy to get it out. I knew it said you wouldnt forget it for years to come, but that was in the game world, NOT REAL LIFE!

Yes, it is very funny. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> I think it was added in the 11th version of our beloved Build. It is -1 luck, so keep it in the chest, I would say. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
 
I know, that's really very silly. Although it was probably set up before Build 10.1, as that's when I "came in" to this group... IIRC, it was in the game then.

I hesitate to say this, but I've been considering ways to _force_ you to pick it up. Like, you don't, and then it magically appears in your inventory, or a crewman comes up and says "you forgot this, cap'n!" or something.

Cant you just dump it in the governor's chest of drawers? That would cause a scandal throughout the whole 'pelago! Every governor having triple tight security to stop the "Evil seabird slayer" from entering their house. Well this is eerie. I posted that, and when I played PotC afterwards, <i>every</i> governor had a dead albatross in his chest of drawers, some had two! Okay, I didnt conquer the whole of the Carribean for revenge, but it is a spooky coincidence.

You kill him in the original, don't you? Or do you just get a quest update like "Now I've captured him, I'm going to redmond to turn him in to the new gov"? Is Silehard on the MOW in the original? because if you either kill it or capture it, you dont get any quest updates apart from "I defeated the Man o War and lived to tell the tale! now I can land safely on Khael Roa" or something like that. I looked in the lines of what quests say, and I thought the lines like "I watched Silehard's white wig dissapear beneath the waves" were put in it in the build.
 
In the original, you dont get anything about Silehard, because they expect you to land, and end the game, I guess <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
