Fixed Custom Quest Musket

The magically appearing ammo still happens, by the way. Not a big issue, though.
Yes I have seen it in many situations. But I have fixed so it doesn't stay. Hope that still works.

If we already got that stupid crosshair replaced. how about a nicer sound for the sg-mode? since we now have it a bit more included in the game, a proper sound would be nice, wouldn't it? I found the soundfile, but I wonder: Do soundfiles need the same length? Because I found a really good one but its 3,6 seconds long, while the original sg sound is only ~1 second long

EDIT: OK, I just tried.. the game is very nice to me :D It doesn't care at all it seems.. it sounds awesome! Bartholomeu will like it for his snipe quest ;)

nah - unfortunaly it is 1 soundfile for the whole sg-mode.. every gun uses this file while in sg-mode, but this is soooo much better than the original one ;)

OOOH! Hadn't noticed that. Thanks for catching! :cheers
Don't worry about replacing the sound for it; we'll handle it differently.

Ok there went my pistol sounds.
Indeed that is no good at all.
We should then replace the default sound with silence and call your proper stuff as part of the Shotgun Mode as well.
There isn't intended to be any difference between Shotgun Mode and regular play. :no

I am marking this again as "Fix in Progress" until that is sorted.

I tested the standard musket in shotgun mode a minute ago and it has the standard musket sound.
Is there something here I'm missing?

Ok the new sgboom sound is good but I don't want it to replace the original sounds.
Is it always activated in shotgun mode? If so maybe I didn't hear it as the musket sound is rather loud.

I would have expected the gun sounds to work, really.
@Jack Rackham, would you mind testing the telescope Long Rifle and perhaps Jack's Lucky Pistol to ensure they do have different sounds?
Perhaps it really does already work as intended. That would at least explain why I didn't notice it being wrong. ;)

They sound a little different. I guess the sgboom is always played wich makes them sound very much like each other.
If you fire at nothing or fire without making damage the sgboom is always there.

I would prefer having the standard sounds. The new sound combination I made for the long_rifles
isn't so unique any longer and I would certainly not want pistol1 sound about the same as heavier guns.

We want variation right?

Then the solution should be simple. Apparently the correct sounds ARE already played, there is just a second one played too.
So all we need to do is to replace sgboom.wav with a sound file containing only silence and we should be good. :cheeky

We want variation right?
YES!

That's the way. The new sgboom sound is good. Maybe use it as an additional sound for pistol10?

We can use it for whichever special new weapon we add now that doesn't have a unique sound yet. :yes
