I need ideas for the shirt and trousers... suggestions are welcome..

Shirt: leave it as it is. Trousers: perhaps find black trousers rather than red, and find a broader belt with a fancy buckle. If you're planning on doing work on the jacket, perhaps some more red lines around the edges. And then you're all set to pass for this version of Nathaniel Hawk:


Otherwise, looking at a few pictures, Jack Sparrow had brown trousers, Hector Barbossa had black. Other pirates probably had whatever they could steal from the next ship they captured. They don't seem to have anything fancy, just a single colour. Red is as good as any. As for the shirt, you're dressed as a pirate who spends a lot of time on deck in all weathers. Let the shirt get a bit dirty. After a few washes, if you don't keep it separate from coloured clothes, it will probably start to fade to grey, which is normally not a good thing, but for a pirate costume it's just what you need.
