Can't save game without an active profile

Harley

Powder Monkey
Hello, i try and save my game but the save button is not highlighted and it says 'you can not save without an active profile'. I don't know what that means and when i change profiles and go back to it, it says there are 0 saves. I quit the game and go back into it and i can load my last save but can not save after that. If anyone can help than thanks.

When you first start the game and are at the first menu, hit the "load" button. On the next screen hit the "profile"button. That will show your active profiles and how many saves they have. Delete any excess profiles and select an active one. Hit cancel and start playing.
If you have no profiles, then start a new game and make sure your character is set up properly.

Hello
I just had the same issue.
How do i start a new game and make sure that i set up my character properly?
I just click start new game name the profile and play but it doesn't work.

Thx for your help

Where is your game installed? By default, it wants to install somewhere in "Program Files (x86)".

Modern Windows security does silly things in "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)" so it is better to install PoTC (and any other games, for that matter) somewhere else. Mine, for example, is in "C:\Games\Pirates of the Caribbean".

Thank you very much for your reply!
It is not saved in program files (x86) / I saved the game in: C:\Pirates

But somehow it works now but i don't know how i did that. I noticed that i downloaded and installed the mod twice so maybe it's the other version.
